Hanuabada Village Fire Appeal

On 19 August 2017, At least 150 villagers in Papua New Guinea have been left homeless after a fire tore through 15 homes in Hanuabada Village, just five minutes from downtown Port Moresby.

On the 22nd August, The President, Mr Chew Pang Heng, Vice-President Mr Steven Oh together with Kee Lim ( Secretary ) and William Gan ( Treasurer ) visited the Hanuabada to witness the result of the fire devastation. The President presented a cheque for K 30,000 on behalf of the members and private companies to the Hanuabada Fire Relief Fund. The President mentioned that it was the MAPNG's members who contacted him after knowing about disaster and requested that MAPNG take immediate action to assist.

The President extended our sympathy for those who had lost their homes and possessions. The President said " MAPNG hopes that the cheque of K 30,000 will assist in the rebuilding project and provide a roof for those who had lost everything".

MBC CHARITY GOLF Fund Raising For Various Charity Groups in PNG - 18th and 19th August 2017

The Malaysian Association of Papua New Guinea hosted the 17th Annual MBC Charity Golf on Friday, August 18, 2017.

We thank everyone who had participated for their kind support in this Charity drive event

A Thank-You and Presentation Dinner was held the day after the golf event on Saturday, Aug 19th, 2017 at the Kokoda Ballroom of The Stanley Hotel & Suites.

The following are some of the details and achievement in this year's MBC Charity Event

Total funds raised for various Charity Groups this year was K932,000.00 compared to K930,000.00 last year.

We would like to thank all our generous sponsors especially our Premier and Major Sponsors for their invaluable ongoing support.

We congratulate the winning team of our 2017 MBC Charity Golf, L & A CONSTRUCTIONS and their players Sir Luciano Cragnolini, James Vagi, and Solomon Lozi, who came back with a score of 53.33. Please select Results of the Golf Event for more details.

Events For 2016

FIFA Oceania Region Internationl Friendly match Papua New Guinea (Runners up of OFC Nations Cup) vs Malaysia was held on 17 June 2016 at Sir John Guise Stadium, Port Moresby.

Papua New Guinea has bounced back from its loss in the final of the OFC Nations Cup to beat Malaysia in the friendly game in Port Moresby. In front of PNG home crowd, PNG took the match 2-0.

MAPNG hosted a dinner at Grand Palace for our visiting Malaysian football team and also the PNG team after the game. Below are some of the photos taken during the match and after match at the dinner function.
